Three carved naga pools fed by sacred sulphur springs
Air Panas Banjar — Banjar Hot Springs — is one of north Bali's most atmospheric and photogenic stops. Three stone-carved bathing pools fed by warm sulphur water sit in a tropical garden of frangipani trees and ferns, with eight naga (mythological dragon) statues spouting water from above. The water is considered sacred and healing for the skin and joints, and it makes a relaxing half-day soak from Lovina, with an on-site restaurant overlooking the pools.

What does it cost and when is it open?
Open daily 8am to 6pm. Entry is around IDR 30,000 for adults and IDR 15,000 for children, with lockers about IDR 5,000.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear a darker swimsuit underneath, as sulphur can stain pale fabric, and pay for a locker for valuables. Leave silver jewellery at your hotel because sulphur tarnishes it.
When is it quietest?
Early morning, 8–10am, is the coolest, quietest and most photogenic time. Avoid weekends when local families visit.
