Bali Zoo Night Safari

A torchlit after-dark safari, dinner buffet and fire dance · Sukawati, Gianyar

Bali Zoo's after-dark 'Night at the Zoo' is one of the island's most fun family evenings — a guided torchlit walk past nocturnal animals, an interactive feeding session, a Balinese buffet dinner and a fire-dance performance under the stars near Ubud.

About Bali Zoo Night Safari

By day Bali Zoo is a leafy, well-regarded animal park in Singapadu, just south of Ubud. After dark it transforms: small groups explore the trails by torchlight, spotting nocturnal and crepuscular animals that are far more active at night than during the day.

The evening typically bundles the safari walk with a hands-on animal encounter or feeding, a generous Balinese dinner buffet, and a traditional fire-dance show — a well-paced, all-in package that works especially well for families with children.

It's a short drive from Ubud, making it an easy add-on to a central-Bali stay and a good rainy-season or evening alternative when the daytime sights are done.

Bali Zoo is home to more than 500 animals across 100+ species. Large mammals include Sumatran tigers, white Bengal tigers, African lions, giraffes, zebras, Malayan sun bears, pygmy hippos and Bornean orangutans. Reptile lovers will find Komodo dragons, giant pythons and various crocodile species. The bird collection features scarlet macaws, sulphur-crested cockatoos, hornbills and a wide variety of tropical species.

Beyond the night safari, the zoo offers a full range of daytime attractions: the Jungle Splash waterpark (with slides and a lazy river), a treetop rope course, a 4D cinema, an elephant wash experience, and a dedicated children's zone with pony rides and a petting area. Dining options include the Night at the Zoo dinner buffet, a poolside café and a riverside restaurant — so you can easily spend a full day before the evening programme begins.
