Wanagiri Hidden Hills is one of north Bali's most photographed viewpoints — a series of bamboo bird's-nest platforms, jungle swings and floating-boat photo props perched on the ridge above Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. On a clear day the view sweeps across the volcanic crater holding both lakes, with the central highlands rising behind. Sitting at 1,200 m on the caldera rim, it's a quick, fun stop on the way between Munduk and Bedugul.

What does it cost and when is it open?

Open daily 8am to 6pm. Entry is around IDR 10,000–30,000 per viewpoint, plus IDR 25,000–50,000 for each photo prop. Bring cash, as it's cash only.

When is the best time to visit?

Early morning, 8–10am, before the afternoon mist rolls in and hides the lakes.

Any tips?

Wear sturdy shoes as paths can be muddy, and check the sky before driving — November to March is often total cloud cover.
