BaliSpirit Festival

Yoga, Dance & World Music in Ubud

One of the world's premier yoga, dance and music festivals, held in the heart of Ubud. Drawing visitors from over 50 countries, BaliSpirit features world-class teachers, transformative workshops, ecstatic dance sessions, sacred music concerts, and a vibrant marketplace — all set amid Ubud's lush jungle backdrop.

BaliSpirit Festival was founded in 2008 by Parvati Devi and Kadek Gunarta with a vision to use the healing arts to create a positive impact in the world. What began as a small gathering has grown into one of the most celebrated yoga, dance, and music festivals on earth — drawing thousands of participants from more than 50 countries each year to the cultural heart of Bali.

Held over five transformative days in April, the festival takes place across multiple open-air venues in Ubud — from jungle pavilions to rice paddy stages. The programme is extraordinary in its breadth: over 150 yoga classes and workshops spanning every style from Ashtanga and Yin to Kundalini and Acro; ecstatic dance ceremonies; world music concerts; healing arts sessions; and presentations by leading teachers in spirituality, wellness, and conscious living.

What makes BaliSpirit unique is its atmosphere. This is not a passive festival — every participant is invited to engage, move, create, and connect. Morning practices happen as the mist rolls over the Ubud rice fields. Afternoons are filled with music from gamelan orchestras, Sufi singers, African drummers, and electronic shamanic DJs. Evenings end with candlelit concerts and fire performances under the stars.

The festival also hosts a Global Spirit Art Market featuring Balinese crafts, international artisans, organic food stalls, and healing practitioners. A dedicated programme for families with children makes BaliSpirit genuinely inclusive, and community outreach projects ensure a portion of all proceeds supports local Balinese schools and social programmes.
