Second Home Visa (E33)

E33 is Indonesia's general sponsor-free Second Home route for long-term residence. It can provide an initial limited stay of up to five years and uses an immigration guarantee with current financial evidence and post-arrival obligations. E33 is separate from E33E for applicants aged 55 or older and E33G for a remote employee of a company incorporated outside Indonesia. Do not use general E33 as a substitute for either route. Any work, study or other additional activity must follow the current concurrent-activity and reporting rules. Confirm the government fee, financial evidence, family arrangements and post-arrival obligations on the official E33 page rather than relying on older “five- or ten-year deposit visa” descriptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the E33 Second Home route and E33G?

The general Second Home route (E33) is a residence route and does not permit employment. The E33G is a separate route intended for remote workers. If you plan to work remotely while living in Indonesia, the E33G — not the general Second Home route — is the correct option.

Who can use the E33G remote-work route?

The E33G is available only to remote workers employed by a foreign-incorporated (non-Indonesian) employer. Applicants must provide official evidence of income meeting the published threshold of USD 60,000 per year. It does not permit working for, or earning income from, Indonesian companies or clients. Can I work remotely on the general Second Home visa (E33)?

Do not use general E33 as a substitute for the dedicated E33G remote-worker route. E33G requires a foreign-incorporated employer contract and official evidence of at least US$60,000 annual income. Any additional activity on E33 must follow the current concurrent-activity rules.

What financial evidence does general E33 require?

General E33 uses an immigration guarantee and current financial evidence. The exact evidence and post-arrival obligation can change, so use the official E33 page for the amount, form and deadline rather than applying an old deposit figure.

Can family members join an E33 holder?

Family arrangements use the current Second Home or E31 rules and are not automatic for every relationship. Check the official application flow for each family member and do not assume residence also grants work or study permission.

Is general E33 available to every applicant?

Eligibility depends on the current official conditions and evidence. VisitBali cannot determine that you qualify; apply through the official process and treat any agent's assessment as assistance, not an approval guarantee.
