Spouse & Family KITAS
A Spouse KITAS is issued to foreign nationals married to an Indonesian citizen. It is sponsored by the Indonesian spouse and allows the foreign partner to live in Indonesia for 1–2 years at a time. After two years on a Spouse KITAS you may apply for a Spouse KITAP; after five years of marriage you may be eligible for Indonesian citizenship.

- Does not automatically permit employment — a work permit is required
- Children (unmarried, under 18) can be added as dependants
- KITAP available after 2 years; citizenship pathway after 5 years of marriage
