Kuta Beach

Bali's most famous beach — wide, flat, beginner-friendly waves and a 6 km curve of sand stretching all the way to Legian and Seminyak.

Best for: Surf lessons and big sunsets

About Kuta Beach

Kuta Beach is where Bali tourism began in the 1970s. Surfers came for the perfect beginner waves, backpackers came for the cheap beachfront warungs, and the rest of the world followed. Today it's still the easiest beach in Bali to learn to surf, the sunsets are still spectacular, and the 6 km curve of sand stretches uninterrupted all the way past Legian to Seminyak.
