Mushroom Bay
A small reef-protected cove on Lembongan's west coast — calm, clear and one of the only safe-swimming bays on the island.
Best for: Calm swimming on Lembongan
About Mushroom Bay
Mushroom Bay is a small, crescent-shaped cove on the west coast of Nusa Lembongan, named for the mushroom coral that grows just offshore. Protected by a reef, its water stays calm and clear, making it one of the few genuinely easy swimming beaches on an island otherwise known for strong currents and surf breaks.
The sheltered conditions make it a lovely spot for a relaxed beach day — soft white sand, gentle water for swimming and snorkelling, and a handful of beach clubs and warungs where you can grab a sun lounger, a cocktail and lunch by the sea.
Mushroom Bay is also a hub for water activities: snorkelling and diving trips, banana-boat rides and boat transfers all leave from here, and its calm, photogenic setting makes it a favourite base for a day trip or an overnight stay on Lembongan.
