Virgin Beach (Pantai Perasi)
A near-empty 1 km arc of soft white sand on the east coast — coconut warungs on the dunes, glass-clear water and almost no one else there.
Best for: Quiet white-sand swim days
About Virgin Beach (Pantai Perasi)
Virgin Beach (officially Pasir Putih, 'white sand') is the east coast's hidden treasure — a 1 km arc of fine white sand with a row of bamboo warungs on the dunes and turquoise water lapping the shore. There are no resorts, no traffic and on a weekday almost nobody else there. Bring cash, swim shoes for the rocky north end, and stay for grilled fish and beer at any of the warungs.
