Impossibles Beach

A long, empty white-sand beach below the Bukit cliffs — best at low tide, with three reef peaks that draw advanced surfers.

Best for: Quiet beach walks and advanced surf

About Impossibles Beach

Impossibles Beach takes its name from the seemingly "impossible" waves that break along its shore — a serious challenge even for experienced surfers. It sits on Bali's south-western Bukit Peninsula, tucked between the better-known Bingin and Padang Padang beaches.

What sets Impossibles apart is its length. Unlike many of the Bukit's pocket beaches, it runs for nearly a kilometre of white sand backed by dramatic limestone cliffs, so even in peak season you can walk a little further and find a quiet patch to yourself.

The beach is best known for its world-class surf break, but it also offers sweeping panoramic views — especially at sunset, when the sky lights up the Indian Ocean in oranges and pinks. The mix of white sand, turquoise water and towering cliff backdrop makes it a photographer's favourite and a must for travellers chasing Bali's quieter coastal corners.
