Padang Padang Beach
A small cove tucked behind a rocky archway — golden sand, turquoise water and one of the most photographed swells on the Bukit.
Best for: Surfers and photographers
About Padang Padang Beach
Padang Padang is the cove that put Bali surfing on the world map. Eat, Pray, Love filmed its closing scene here; the Rip Curl Cup runs every August on the famous left-hand reef out front; and the small white-sand beach is squeezed dramatically between two limestone outcrops you access through a narrow rock fissure.
Outside surf season, swim in the protected south end at high tide, climb back up for sunset cocktails on the cliff above, or walk five minutes to Single Fin to catch the swell breaking from the bar.
